FAPP Support Guide

Useful answers.
Sources you can inspect.

The AI guide searches approved FAPP material before answering source-based questions. It is not a therapist, lawyer, emergency service, or live web search.

What is included

This deployment has 102 searchable passages, including published website text, the pledge, research summaries, resource descriptions for 52 states and territories, and neutral publication-status notices. The index rebuilds from specifically approved files when the website is built.

  • FAPP website text: 18 passages
  • FAPP stated principles: 1 passages
  • FAPP research summary: 14 passages
  • State resource directory: 52 passages
  • State court self-help: 9 passages
  • FAPP resource description: 7 passages
  • Guide transparency: 1 passages

What a citation means

Numbered links identify the approved passages supplied for that reply. Expand “Sources for this reply” to see the exact passage, its classification and any source date, then open the original source or its FAPP context. Research entries are FAPP’s published summaries, not full articles. Citations do not independently prove an AI answer is correct.

What is not included

Private submissions, visitor conversations, customer records, credentials, unpublished project files, medical records and therapy notes are not part of the knowledge index. The personal story, case-document inventory, document titles and dates, case details, and court or evidence PDFs are excluded. These sections will be available in the future. A “redacted” label is not authorization to publish material.

Dates, locations and gaps matter

The guide is instructed to preserve research populations, dates and limitations, distinguish project beliefs from findings, and say when the sources do not answer a question. State and county selections lead to directory starting points, not guaranteed local assistance. Confirm current law, procedures, fees, eligibility and availability with the relevant professional or source.

Conversation privacy

Your messages and relevant approved passages are sent through FAPP’s hosting and AI providers to prepare a response. This chat does not create a story submission or publication permission. The chat keeps conversation history in the current page’s memory, not in a FAPP transcript database. Clear chat clears that interface history; it does not erase information already processed by providers. Provider retention and security policies still apply.

No person monitors the chat, and it cannot contact emergency services. Please do not include children’s names, identifying details, confidential case files or payment information.

Corrections and coverage requests

Email contact@fathersareparents.org with the public source and the information that needs review. Avoid private records. New document text requires a separate privacy and publication review before it can be added.
